As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, the role encompasses formulating and building extensive test cases and methodologies to verify new functionalities and features for different development engineering products; you are expected to have technical experience that significantly contributes to the goal of high product quality. This position combines qualities of both black and white box testing procedures. The candidate should demonstrate a combination of solid in -depth knowledge of Quality Assurance. In this role, partnering with Software Development, you will need to define test strategy, appropriate test suites, and effective test cases, and will perform those tests on devices with embedded firmware with and without companion mobile apps.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine, smart and focused, exploratory manual tests based on what you identify as high -risk areas.Write and execute manual test plans and related test cases.Verify features and enhancements using white and black box methodologies.Investigate and analyse root causes of technical issues and performance bottlenecks so as to provide sufficient data to engineering to help pin -point problem areas in the system. RequirementsSelf -motivated and able to take the lead and work with little supervision.Superior critical and abstract thinking skills.Demonstrate strong design and test skillsExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving, verbal and written communications skillsExperience with functional API testing.Solid understanding of software test engineering principles, tools, techniques, and execution.Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.Experience in Perl, Python, Shell or other scripting languages is a plus.Strong understanding of automated test systemsDesign and develop automation frameworks and test suites to test Bose products and services,working with Engineering, QA, System Architects, Product Owners, and othersUnderstand frameworks, approaches, and test strategies used by peer teams; leverage, extend, andshare wherever possibleSupport all phases of the software life -cycle including requirements analysis, testing, release validation,and documentationB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent3+ years' experience designing, implementing, and executing automated/Manual testsShow excellent communication skills
