Manager Accounts / Finance / Taxation

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced and results-driven
Manager Accounts/Finance/Taxation
to lead financial operations, ensure compliance, oversee budgeting, and deliver accurate project-based reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, in-depth knowledge of local regulatory frameworks, and a solid understanding of financial processes within the construction industry.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    ACCA, CA Finalist, or ACMA
  • Experience:
    5–8 years in a relevant industry role (construction sector experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong command of local statutory, corporate, and taxation laws
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, reconciliations, reporting, and budgeting
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, leadership, and negotiation abilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Budget Creation & Cost Control

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate and well-structured budgets
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and propose corrective measures

2. Cost Analysis & Financial Reporting

  • Evaluate project costs including labor, materials, and overhead
  • Prepare timely financial statements and highlight risks or discrepancies

3. Vendor & Supplier Contract Management

  • Manage financial aspects of supplier and subcontractor agreements
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and lead cost-optimization initiatives

4. Invoice & Payment Processing

  • Review invoices, POs, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely processing

5. Cash Flow Forecasting

  • Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
  • Monitor liquidity needs to ensure uninterrupted project execution

6. Financial Auditing & Compliance

  • Maintain complete financial documentation for internal and external audits
  • Ensure strict adherence to statutory requirements and company policies

7. Market Trend Analysis

  • Monitor market fluctuations in material and labor costs
  • Integrate market insights into budget planning and financial forecasts

8. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Communicate financial insights to support smooth project coordination

9. Risk Identification & Mitigation

  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with finance and project teams to maintain financial stability

10. Financial Monitoring & Project Reporting

  • Track project progress from a financial standpoint and prepare periodic reports
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews
  • Support capital requests and annual or special budgeting cycles
