At the Kashif Iqbal Thalassaemia Care Centre (KITCC), we face an extraordinary challenge every day: fighting for the lives of children with thalassaemia, a serious yet preventable genetic blood disorder.

In Pakistan alone, thousands of children are born with this condition every year — and many could have been spared through awareness, education, and early testing. We provide life-saving care, free blood transfusions, medical support, and community education. But our fight is not just in the hospital wards — it's in the hearts and minds of the public.

We urgently need a Content Writer whose words can reach far beyond our clinic walls. A storyteller who can turn facts into feelings, data into decisions, and stories into support. Someone who can inspire a donor to give, a volunteer to join, and a couple to get tested before marriage.

Your writing will be part of national awareness drives, seen by thousands across Pakistan. You will craft the narratives that convince families to test for thalassaemia, motivate young people to donate blood, and connect donors with the cause they can truly change.

What You'll Do

As our Content Writer, you will:

Create Impactful Content Across Platforms

  • Write high-quality, SEO-optimized articles, blogs, and website copy that educate and engage.
  • Craft compelling video scripts that move audiences to action.
  • Share real-life patient success stories that show the human side of our mission.
  • Develop fundraising appeals that inspire generosity.

Educate & Advocate

  • Create easy-to-understand educational materials about thalassaemia prevention, blood donation, and genetic testing.
  • Translate complex medical information into reader-friendly language.

Collaborate for Creative Campaigns

  • Work closely with our designers, campaign managers, and healthcare team to develop integrated storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency of tone across all content.

Refine & Elevate

  • Edit and proofread all materials to meet the highest standards of clarity and accuracy.
  • Stay updated with the latest health communication trends to keep our content fresh and relevant.

Skills & Qualifications We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's in Mass Communication, English, Journalism, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of professional writing (NGO, healthcare, or social impact sectors preferred).
  • Languages: Excellent command of English & Urdu.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword placement, and web readability.
  • Creative Strengths: Ability to write for emotional connection and actionable impact.
  • Personal Qualities: Empathy, creativity, and passion for humanitarian causes.
