What You'll Do

• Plan and execute outreach campaigns to secure high-quality backlinks from authoritative, niche-relevant websites
• Perform competitor backlink analysis, link prospecting, and SEO audits using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and Google Search Console
• Build and maintain relationships with bloggers, influencers, webmasters, and digital publishers for guest posting and link placements
• Keep organized records of link-building activities using Google Sheets, Excel, or CRM tools
• Monitor backlink quality, ensuring compliance with Google's Webmaster Guidelines and avoiding toxic links
• Collaborate with content marketing, PR, and SEO teams to support guest blogging, digital PR, and content-driven outreach
• Track, analyze, and report on link-building KPIs (referring domains, link velocity, anchor text distribution, domain authority growth)
• Stay ahead of SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and link-building innovations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or a related discipline
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in link building (SEO agency or in-house digital marketing team)
• Strong understanding of white-hat SEO techniques and ethical outreach strategies
• Proficiency in SEO tools: Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Majestic, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Google Search Console
• Excellent communication skills for email outreach, negotiation, and relationship management
• Basic knowledge of on-page SEO, keyword research, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors
• Ability to manage multiple link-building projects independently and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with link metrics (Domain Rating, Domain Authority, Trust Flow, Citation Flow)
• Experience identifying and disavowing toxic backlinks using Google Disavow Tool
• Understanding of anchor text optimization, nofollow/dofollow attributes, and contextual link placement

Preferred Skills

• Experience with content marketing, guest posting, and editorial outreach
• Familiarity with CRM systems or email outreach platforms (BuzzStream, Pitchbox, Mailshake, )
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and SEO reporting dashboards
• Understanding of technical SEO (crawlability, indexation, site architecture, structured data)
• Experience with AI-powered SEO tools and automation platforms
• Awareness of E-E-A-T principles in link-building strategy
• Ability to contribute to thought leadership (blog posts, webinars, SEO communities)
• Familiarity with brand mention monitoring, unlinked mention reclamation, and digital PR tactics
