Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Global Chair for Biodiversity located in Islamabad. The Global Chair for Biodiversity will be responsible for leading biodiversity initiatives, developing and implementing biodiversity conservation strategies, and coordinating research efforts. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with international bodies, managing biodiversity-related projects, providing expert guidance to policymakers, and enhancing public awareness and engagement in biodiversity conservation efforts. The role requires a commitment to biodiversity preservation and leadership in the field.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge in biodiversity, conservation science, and environmental policies
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing conservation strategies and managing biodiversity projects
  • Strong research skills, including designing and overseeing biodiversity studies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to collaborate with international bodies and offer policy guidance
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and enhance public awareness and engagement
  • Experience in advisory roles with policymakers on biodiversity and conservation issues
  • Ability to work on-site in Islamabad
  • Advanced degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or a related field
  • Experience in the non-profit, academic, or governmental sectors related to biodiversity is a plus
