We're seeking a
Data Engineer
to join our high-impact team. You'll inherit and evolve a mature data ecosystem built on Databricks, dbt, Airflow, AWS, Tableau, AtScale, and Google Tag Manager (GTM). Your mission is to maintain and modernize data pipelines, ensure accurate analytics and reporting, and support scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure that powers our business intelligence and user insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Airflow, and Databricks
  2. Develop and optimise data models in AtScale to support BI tools such as Tableau
  3. Collaborate with Analytics, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure reliable and timely data delivery
  4. Integrate and manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) data for user behavior tracking, campaign performance, and analytics pipelines
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and performance
  6. Support and manage AWS infrastructure (S3, Kafka, EC2, Lambda, IAM policies)
  7. Drive cost optimisation across data storage, compute, and tooling
  8. Document systems, processes, and best practices for continuity and on boarding
  9. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team rituals

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  2. 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering
  3. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and dbt
  4. Hands-on experience with Data bricks, Airflow, AWS, and Google Tag Manager
  5. Familiarity with semantic modelling tools
  6. Experience supporting BI teams and building Tableau dashboards
  7. Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
  8. Excellent communication and documentation skills
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  10. Naturally curious and a continuous learner

Preferred Experience:

  1. Experience with cost monitoring tools or Fin Ops practices
  2. familiarity with vendor integrations, API-based data sharing, and marketing data pipelines
  3. Exposure to AtScale, Tableau, or other modern data platforms
  4. Experience leveraging Google Tag Manager for data collection, event tracking, and analytics workflows
  5. Passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
