Job Description:

We are seeking a
skilled 2D & 3D Design Engineer
based in
Karachi, Pakistan
to support a warehouse automation and cargo tracking project for
SAPS (Shaheen Cargo)
. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting site measurements, preparing detailed layouts, and generating realistic 3D models that incorporate racking, conveyors, and operational flows.

This role requires both
on-site measurement
and
design expertise
in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software. The output will be used for
project planning, proposal submissions, and deployment design.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit the warehouse site in Karachi to take
    accurate measurements
    of the facility.
  • Develop
    2D AutoCAD layouts
    of the existing warehouse floor plan.
  • Create
    2D AutoCAD layouts
    with proposed:
  • Racking systems
  • Conveyor placements
  • Floor markings (walkways, exit routes, fire exits, restricted zones)
  • Safety compliance indicators (assembly points, extinguishers, alarms)
  • Generate a
    3D model of the warehouse
    with racks, conveyors, and storage areas installed.
  • Provide
    visualizations
    showing before & after states (current vs. proposed warehouse setup).
  • (Suggested for SAPS) Incorporate placeholders for:
  • RFID zones
    (entry, storage, dispatch)
  • Heatmap visualization areas
    for cargo movements
  • Forklift pathways & turning radius considerations
  • Emergency evacuation plans
    for compliance with aviation standards.

Deliverables:

  1. 2D AutoCAD drawings (existing & proposed layouts).
  2. 3D model of warehouse (with realistic views).
  3. Annotated safety & compliance plans (exit, walkways, restricted zones).
  4. Optional (if capable): 3D animation walkthrough of the warehouse operations.

Requirements:

  • Located in
    Karachi
    and available for on-site visits.
  • Proven experience in
    AutoCAD (2D)
    and
    3D warehouse/industrial design
    .
  • Strong portfolio of previous warehouse, factory, or industrial layout projects.
  • Knowledge of
    racking systems, conveyors, and warehouse standards
    .
  • Familiarity with
    safety & compliance layouts
    (fire exits, walkways, etc.).
  • (Preferred) Experience in
    RFID or warehouse automation projects
    .

Project Timeline:

Within
1 week of contract award
