Job Title: Backend Developer

Location: DHA Phase 5, Lahore

Working Hours: 6:00pm to 3:00am

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems. This role requires strong expertise in multiple programming languages (Ruby, Java, Python, C/C++) and experience with databases, APIs, and server-side logic. You will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver secure and efficient solutions that power our applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Ruby, Java, Python, and C/C++.
  • Database Management: Implement and optimize relational and NoSQL databases; ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • System Architecture: Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable system architectures.
  • API Integration: Develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs; ensure secure data exchange between systems.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance; troubleshoot bottlenecks and optimize code for efficiency.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit, integration, and automated tests; ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices for data protection, authentication, and authorization.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for code, processes, and system architecture.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two or more of the following: Ruby, Java, Python, C/C++.
  • Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of server-side development, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience with version control (Git).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Team player with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
