About the Role

We are seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Developer with 2–4 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable web applications, writing clean code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using Ruby on Rails.

  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external use.

  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.

  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to define and deliver features.

  • Write clean, modular, and testable code following best practices.

  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to improving engineering standards.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and fix application issues to ensure smooth functionality.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 2–4 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails development.

  • Solid understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful application design.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and query optimization.

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (basic frontend integration).

  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

  • Familiarity with RSpec, Minitest, or other testing frameworks.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).

  • Knowledge of Sidekiq, Redis, or background job processing.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
