Position Overview
The Freight Dispatcher is responsible for managing the daily scheduling and coordination of freight transportation. This role ensures that loads are assigned efficiently, drivers are supported throughout their trips, and shipments are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with company standards and customer requirements. The dispatcher acts as the central point of communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and assign loads to drivers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor and track shipments in real-time to ensure on-time delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and resolving issues during trips.
- Post and search for freight using load boards (e.g., DAT, , etc.) to secure profitable loads and backhauls.
- Communicate proactively with customers about shipment status, delays, or changes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transport laws.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and load details.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure fleet availability and readiness.
- Manage backhauls and optimize routes to reduce empty miles and improve profitability.
- Escalate urgent issues such as breakdowns, accidents, or delays to management.

Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience using load boards (DAT, , 123Loadboard, etc.) is required.
- Previous experience in freight dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trucking regulations, road networks, and freight markets of USA
- Proficiency with dispatching software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with drivers and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and solve problems quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as required.
