Job Summary:

The Senior Educational Counsellor will provide expert guidance and support to students seeking higher education opportunities in the United Kingdom. This role requires in-depth knowledge of UK universities, entry requirements, visa processes, and scholarship options. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end counselling process, assist in achieving recruitment targets, and mentor junior counsellors to maintain a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate information and counselling to students regarding UK study options, courses, institutions, entry requirements, and career prospects.

Guide students through the entire application and admission process — from university selection to offer acceptance.

Support students in preparing and submitting university applications, including personal statements and supporting documents.

Advise students on UK visa requirements (Student Route / Tier 4) and assist with visa application documentation.

Stay updated with UK university policies, new courses, and scholarship opportunities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with UK university representatives and admissions teams.

Handle walk-in, phone, and online enquiries professionally and ensure timely follow-ups.

Maintain accurate student records in CRM systems and prepare regular progress reports.

Mentor and support junior counsellors to enhance team performance.

Represent the organisation at UK education fairs, seminars, and promotional events.

Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to achieve recruitment and conversion targets.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in Education, Business Administration, or a related field).

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in international education counselling, preferably for UK study destinations.

Strong understanding of UK university admission systems (UCAS and direct applications).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Professional presentation, interpersonal, and counselling skills.

Knowledge of UKVI rules and visa processes is an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
