DealOps Analyst
We're seeking a DealOps Analyst to work within our leading US/UK investment platform DealOps team, working at the heart of the fundraising journey, supporting founders from the early stages of campaign planning through to launch.
You'll play a key role in ensuring campaigns are well-prepared, investor-ready, and set up for success. This includes reviewing and refining pitch materials, validating key information, and helping founders craft compelling stories that resonate with investors. Beyond individual campaigns, you'll also contribute to improving our internal processes and tools, helping us streamline how we support founders at scale.
We're looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, a sharp eye for what makes a great pitch, and a passion for startups will be key to thriving in this role.
The role:
Support the DealOps team: Collaborate closely with the DealOps team as they work directly with Founders to strategise and execute successful investment campaigns. You'll play a key role in helping to ensure the campaign is well-structured and compelling for potential investors.
Initial due diligence: Assist in the due diligence process by reviewing key materials such as marketing assets, pitch decks, and campaign pitch materials. You'll help the team to validate key data points and provide insightful feedback to help founders strengthen their presentations.
Pitch preparation and campaign readiness: Work hand-in-hand with the DealOps team and founders to prepare high-quality pitch presentations and supporting materials. Your role will involve refining messaging and ensuring all documentation is accurate and compelling to maximise the success of the campaign on the platform.
Process improvement and innovation: Collaborate with the broader DealOps team on strategic projects aimed at enhancing internal processes and tools. We're always looking to identify inefficiencies and innovative solutions, and you'll contribute to improving the overall support system for entrepreneurs and streamlining the journey from pitch preparation to campaign launch.
Interview (1 hour)
The interview will be divided into two main sections: a discussion-based segment and a practical task presentation. We aim to assess both your experience and your approach to the type of work you'll be doing in the role.
Part 1: Experience, Skills & Motivation
In the first half of the interview, we'll focus on:
● Your previous experience and key achievements
● Core skills relevant to the role
● Your motivation for applying and interest in the company
● How you see this role fitting into your career goals
This will be a conversational segment designed to get to know you better and understand how you align with the team and business objectives.
Part 2: Task Presentation
In the second half, we'd like you to prepare a short presentation (approx. 10 minutes) covering the following:
(1) Take a look through the campaigns currently fundraising on a US/UK investment platform and, with your investor hat on, choose one which you would hypothetically invest in. Please be ready to explain how you made your decision, including any analysis and due diligence that you considered in the process.
(2) For the same campaign, put yourself in the entrepreneur's shoes with a view to maximising the total investment raised. Think about what potential actions you could take throughout the fundraise to increase investment into that campaign, and be prepared to present those ideas.
(3) After your presentation, we'll ask follow-up questions to explore your thought process further.
