Job Title: Senior Salesman/ Key Punching Operator

Location: Lahore

Job Type: Full-Time | On-site

Working Days: 6 days a week

Shift Duration: 10 hours per day (Flexible between 7:00 AM – 2:00 AM)

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (3–5 years preferred)

Qualification: Matric (minimum); Diploma in Dispensing (preferred)

Supervisor: Operations Head / Managing Director

Position Overview

Nova Pharmacy is looking to hire a skilled and experienced Senior Salesman, who will also serve as the Key Punching Operator (KPO) during working hours. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pharmacy sales, staff supervision, and operational procedures, with a keen understanding of inventory handling and customer service standards.

This role is central to both frontline pharmacy operations and digital system management, and demands professionalism, leadership, and ethical conduct.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Minimum Matriculation, preferably with a Dispensing Diploma
• 1–5 years of experience in a pharmacy environment, preferably as a Head Salesman or Pharmacy Manager
• High standards of moral and ethical values, with an understanding of corporate image and public dealing
• Well-mannered, professionally dressed, and presentable at all times
• Ability to coordinate well with team members, supervisors, and customers
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills

Key Responsibilities

A. Staff & Pharmacy Management

• Train junior and existing staff in:
• Prescription reading and handling
• Medicine search and substitute identification
• Customer interaction and professional behavior
• Product placement and counter discipline
• Ensure team adherence to dress code, hygiene, and tidiness
• Oversee cleaning and shelf maintenance schedules
• Allocate shift duties and manage alternate arrangements in case of absentees
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and air conditioning standards
• Coordinate with maintenance staff for environmental or technical issues

B. Inventory & Purchase Management

• Monitor stock movement, identify top-selling items, and ensure availability
• Ensure expired/near-expiry medicines are managed legally and removed on time
• Ensure FIFO system for all product placement and rotation
• Supervise the demand list preparation based on inventory levels and shelf stock
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices
• Ensure correct product placement after delivery
• Oversee inter-pharmacy stock transfers with proper documentation
• Maintain tight control over out-of-stock and near-expiry stock and coordinate with warehouse teams

C. Customer Service & Digital Operations (KPO)

• Serve as Key Punching Operator (KPO) to ensure accurate and timely billing
• Ensure prescriptions are correctly recorded in the system
• Handle customer queries and feedback professionally
• Maintain decorum and ensure a welcoming environment at the counter

Special Responsibilities

• Motivate and mentor junior sales staff for continuous performance improvement
• Report directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Operations Head
• Take ownership of special tasks assigned by senior management
• Ensure all assigned work aligns with company policies and service standards
