Job Description – Payroll Accountant

Location: Karachi Office

Work Schedule: 6 days per week

Department: Finance & Accounting

Reports to: Director

Purpose of the Position:

To manage and process employee payroll in compliance with local regulations and company policies, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of salaries, allowances, deductions, and overtime.
  • Calculate taxes, social security, and other statutory contributions.
  • Coordinate with HR and site administrators regarding timesheets, attendance, and leave data.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll-related reports to management and authorities.
  • Handle employee queries related to salary slips, deductions, and benefits.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts with general ledger and support audit requirements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll accounting.
  • Knowledge of Pakistan tax laws and payroll regulations.
  • Strong Excel and accounting software skills (SAP, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Good English communication skills.
