Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and proactive Senior Full-Stack Developer to be one of our founding engineers. This unique role is for a skilled developer who enjoys owning both application development and the infrastructure it runs on. You will be responsible for building robust backend systems, establishing our core DevOps practices, and managing the entire deployment pipeline. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to own the complete technical stack from code to production, ensuring our applications are scalable, secure, and reliable from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development (60%) ● Design and develop clean, scalable RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework. ● Create efficient database schemas and write optimized PostgreSQL queries. ● Implement core business logic, data processing pipelines, and background tasks using Celery and Redis. ● Integrate third-party services and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, cloud services). ● Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

DevOps & Infrastructure Ownership (25%)

● Own and automate the entire deployment pipeline from development to production using CI/CD practices. ● Set up, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS or DigitalOcean. ● Implement and manage Docker containerization for all services. ● Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure application health. ● Manage domains, DNS, SSL certificates, and CDN configurations. ● Implement and regularly test backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Frontend Development (15%)

● Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces using HTMX with Django templates. ● Create snappy, interactive web applications without the overhead of heavy JavaScript frameworks. ● Ensure a high-quality user experience with a focus on performance and cross-browser compatibility.

AI-Powered Development

● Actively use AI tools (Claude, Cursor IDE) for rapid development, code generation, and debugging. ● Contribute to an engineering culture that leverages AI to ship products faster and smarter.

Required Qualifications Technical Skills

● Minimum 3 years of full-stack development experience, with a strong focus on backend systems. ● Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework. ● Solid PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design and query optimization. ● Proven, hands-on experience deploying and managing production applications. ● Comfortable with Linux/Ubuntu server administration and the command line. ● Experience with Docker for containerization. ● Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions). ● Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). ● Experience with Git for version control in a collaborative environment

. DevOps Specific Requirements

● Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar). ● Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (firewalls, DNS, SSL/TLS). ● Ability to troubleshoot production issues calmly and systematically.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with HTMX, , or similar lightweight frontend technologies. ● Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform basics). ● Knowledge of Nginx configuration and optimization. ● Experience with monitoring tools like Sentry, Prometheus, or DataDog. ● Previous experience in a startup environment.

Pay: Rs300, Rs400,000.00 per month
