Job Summary

SoftMind is looking for a skilled MERN Stack Developer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and deploying robust web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, , , ) stack. You will work on exciting projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to creating high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable, responsive, and secure web applications using the MERN stack.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to implement and enhance features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services as needed.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
  • Ensure the implementation of security and data protection standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in web development, specifically with the MERN stack.
  • Proficiency in , including hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of and for server-side development.
  • Experience with MongoDB (or similar NoSQL databases) and database design.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of modern frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6+).
  • Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
