Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Data Scraper to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Python scripts to extract and parse data from a variety of static and dynamic websites using tools such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, and Requests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web scraping, data automation, and data manipulation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable web scraping scripts in Python.

Utilize tools such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, and Requests to extract data from dynamic and static web sources.

Analyze and interpret collected data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.

Optimize scraping scripts for speed, reliability, and scalability.

Collaborate with team members to integrate scraped data into internal applications, databases, or workflows.

Conduct routine reviews and updates of scraping scripts to ensure continuous and accurate data extraction.

Stay up to date with the latest web scraping tools, techniques, and best practices.

Ensure all scraping activities comply with applicable legal, ethical, and data privacy standards.

Engage with project stakeholders to define data requirements and deliverables.

Provide documentation and training materials related to scraping tools and processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

2 years experience in a web scraping or data extraction role.

Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as Selenium, BeautifulSoup, and Requests.

Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, XPath, and web protocols.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.

High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Exposure to machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.

Experience working with large-scale data extraction and processing pipelines.

Understanding of API interactions and data integration methods.
