Position Title: Slaughtering Executive
Job Overview:
We're currently looking for a Slaughtering Manager to oversee and manage the daily meat processing and slaughtering operations. The ideal candidate will ensure hygiene, safety, and quality standards are strictly followed while supervising the slaughtering team. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and knowledge of food safety and halal compliance.
Key responsibilities :
- Oversee daily slaughtering operations to ensure efficiency, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Supervise the slaughtering team and assign tasks to butchers and helpers.
- Ensure animals are slaughtered humanely according to health and halal (if applicable) guidelines.
- Inspect incoming livestock or poultry for health and quality before slaughter.
- Monitor meat cutting, dressing, and storage to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of slaughtering and processing areas.
- Ensure all tools, machinery, and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
- Record meat production quantities, wastage, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with kitchen and purchasing departments to meet meat supply requirements.
- Enforce safety protocols and train staff in hygienic and humane handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with government health, safety, and halal certification regulations.
- Handle any issues related to meat quality or safety immediately and report to management.
Qualifications& Skills
- Intermediate or Bachelor's degree
- Strong knowledge of animal slaughtering techniques and meat processing procedures
- Understanding of Halal slaughtering practices and food safety regulations
- Ability to maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail
- Knowledge of meat quality grading, cutting, and storage methods
- Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Teamwork and supervision skills to manage slaughtering staff effectively
- Record-keeping and reporting abilities
- Time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Commitment to ethical and humane handling of animals
