Chief Librarian

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Librarian at Superior University Official, located in Lahore. The Chief Librarian will be responsible for overseeing all library services and ensuring the efficient operation of the library. Daily tasks will include managing library staff, coordinating library instruction programs, ensuring proper cataloging and metadata management, and maintaining comprehensive library management practices. The Chief Librarian will also engage in continuous improvement of library resources and services, liaise with faculty and students, and ensure the library meets institutional standards and goals.

Qualifications

• Experience and proficiency in Library Services and Library Management
• Knowledge of Library Science and Metadata management
• Skills in Library Instruction and user education programs
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community of faculty, students, and staff
• Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Experience in an academic library setting is preferred
