Job Purpose:

To teach English to primary-level students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum, fostering language proficiency, reading comprehension, writing skills, and effective communication while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through creative and interactive teaching strategies.
  • Use age-appropriate teaching aids, audio-visual resources, and activities to enhance language learning.
  • Assess students' progress through classwork, assignments, and periodic evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and behavior.
  • Participate in curriculum development, teacher meetings, and training sessions.
  • Organize and support co-curricular and literacy-based activities such as reading clubs, debates, and storytelling sessions.
  • Ensure discipline and adherence to school policies and ethical teaching practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in English / Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification required.
  • 1–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level preferred.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
