Role Description

This is a
full-time on-site internship
for a
Back-End Developer Intern
specializing in
Python and FastAPI
. The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to backend development and API-driven system design. The intern will work alongside our engineering team to develop and maintain scalable APIs, manage databases, and optimize backend performance.

Interns will actively participate in
at least two real-world projects
, such as:

  1. API Development Project:
    Building and deploying RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Python for internal or client-facing applications.
  2. Data Management & Integration Project:
    Implementing database models, authentication systems, and integrating APIs with front-end services to deliver complete end-to-end functionality.

These projects will help interns understand full development cycles, from planning and coding to testing and deployment, ensuring they gain valuable work-oriented experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test backend APIs using
    FastAPI
    and
    Python
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth data integration
  • Optimize and debug existing code for better performance and reliability
  • Work with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
    for data storage and retrieval
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and sprint planning
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and other security best practices

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in
    Python
    and understanding of
    FastAPI
    or similar frameworks (Flask, Django REST Framework)
  • Knowledge of
    Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
    principles
  • Familiarity with
    RESTful APIs
    and
    front-end integration
    concepts
  • Experience with
    SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively on-site
    in a collaborative team environment
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git/GitHub)
    and
    cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
    is a plus
