Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager Production will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in the FMCG industry, capable of optimizing production processes, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and execute daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control and assurance standards (ISO, HACCP, GMP) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Manage raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate production teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g. Odoo) for production planning, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Analyze production data, generate reports, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Resolve production issues and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in production management within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven ability to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control and assurance standards (ISO, HACCP, GMP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, HACCP, GMP) are desirable.
