Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Hostel Assistant in the Female Hostel.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• Vigilantly monitor and control entry and exit at the hostel gate, enforcing established rules and timings to ensure a secure environment.
• Prevent unauthorized entry and report any suspicious or unauthorized activity, serving as a first line of defense for hostel residents.
• Maintain accurate daily records of student movements, enabling effective monitoring and response to resident needs.
• Work closely with security teams to ensure adherence to hostel safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety and security.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for students, addressing operational and safety-related concerns in a timely and effective manner.
• Guide hostelites on rules and regulations, assisting in resolving minor issues and promoting a harmonious living environment.
• Promptly report any disciplinary or safety incidents to the Hostel Manager/coordinator, ensuring swift action and resolution.
• Keep detailed logs and reports related to gate entry, incidents, maintenance, and visitor records, supporting informed decision-making and compliance.
• Coordinate with hostel management to ensure seamless day-to-day functioning, addressing resident needs and concerns.
• Assist during student check-ins, check-outs, and other hostel events, contributing to a positive and welcoming experience for residents.
• Perform any task assigned by Hostel Management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the hostel's mission.
