Position Overview:

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic PG Homeroom Teacher to join our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, an understanding of play-based learning, and a commitment to nurturing the curiosity, creativity, and overall development of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver play-based and age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels happy, valued, and secure.
  • Foster independence, curiosity, and early learning habits through engaging classroom routines and interactive activities.
  • Use stories, games, and hands-on materials to enhance learning experiences.
  • Observe and assess student progress regularly, keeping records of development milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide feedback and address concerns regarding child development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure a holistic early years learning program.
  • Maintain classroom discipline through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and early years education standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field (Diploma in Early Childhood Education will be an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in early childhood or playgroup teaching.
  • Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with young children and parents.
  • Ability to create a joyful, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with early childhood learning resources and educational technology.
