We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled "Assistant AutoCAD Engineer" to support the design and engineering team in creating, updating, and managing technical drawings and design layouts.

Job Description:

  • Develop and prepare layout drawings for electrical equipment, transmission lines, substations, and related structures.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical engineers to convert technical concepts into accurate CAD models and technical documentation.
  • Interpret and revise engineering drawings and schematics based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and field teams.
  • Ensure all AutoCAD deliverables comply with applicable industry standards, project specifications, and company guidelines.
  • Manage and update existing drawings as projects progress or scope changes.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all design outputs to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in design review meetings and contribute to engineering discussions.
  • Coordinate with designers, draftsmen, and site personnel to collect accurate project inputs.
  • Occasionally visit project sites to gather data and verify field conditions.
  • Ensure timely submission of drawings and documentation as per project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field (preferred), OR Associate degree with relevant engineering exposure.
  • 3–5 years of AutoCAD experience with a focus on electrical engineering, particularly transmission lines and substations.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Electrical, 3D modeling, or Revit is a plus
  • Working knowledge of electrical symbols, layouts, and design codes used in substation and transmission line drawings.
  • Ability to understand and apply engineering principles in drafting tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, especially in multi-disciplinary environments.
