with a qualified accountant who brings UK practice experience and professional commitment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a
qualified ACCA
with at least
3 years of relevant experience in a UK accountancy practice
. The role will involve handling a portfolio of UK clients, reviewing statutory accounts, preparing UK tax computations, and supporting UK-based colleagues across various compliance and advisory tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of UK accounting standards, tax rules, and practice procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and submission of
    Corporation Tax (CT600)
    and
    Personal Tax (Self Assessment)
    returns
  • Bookkeeping review and
    VAT return preparation
    under UK VAT rules
  • Supporting audit files and schedules as required by the UK team
  • Working on accounting software such as
    Xero
    ,
    QuickBooks
    ,
    IRIS
    , or
    TaxCalc
  • Liaising remotely with UK clients and HMRC as necessary
  • Preparing management accounts and cashflow reports
  • Ensuring compliance with
    UK regulatory standards
    , including deadlines and documentation
  • Contributing to workflow improvements and team development in the Lahore office

Candidate Requirements

  • ACCA Part
    qualified
    or Membership confirmed
  • Minimum
    3 years' experience in a UK-based accountancy practice
    (not outsourcing/BPO-only roles)
  • Strong understanding of
    UK accounting standards (FRS 102 / FRS 105)
    and UK
    taxation
  • Familiarity with
    HMRC systems
    , client onboarding (AML), and Companies House submissions
  • Proficient in
    cloud-based accounting software
    (Xero, QuickBooks), and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent English communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work in coordination with UK-based teams and adhere to UK time zone where needed

Desirable

  • Experience with audit preparation (although not essential)
  • Prior exposure to client communication and handling client queries
  • Experience training or supervising junior staff
