Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Software Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails (ROR), based in Lahore. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing back-end systems, implementing software solutions, and building scalable applications using best programming practices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to all stages of software development, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.

What we are looking for:

  • 6+ months of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.

  • 6+ months of experience with relational databases.

  • Able to create database schema that represent and support business processes.

  • Professional experience with Html5, Css3 and responsive web development.

  • Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors (such as Sass, based on project requirements)

  • Familiarity with development aiding tools (Such as Bundler, Rake, etc)

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.

  • Familiarity with design patterns and concepts of MVC and RESTful.

  • Familiarity with agile development practices and the full software development life-cycle in a team environment.

  • A knack for writing clean, readable code.

  • Someone who is looking to grow as an individual and show initiative at learning new stuff.

In a typical work day you would:

  • Discuss, plan, and build new features/fix bugs

  • Manage code base using GIT systems

  • Attend agile/scrum for daily updates
