IT Lecturer

Job Description

The Lecturer (MPhil IT) will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising research, and contributing to curriculum development in the field of Information Technology. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students, foster critical thinking, and support academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in IT and related subjects.
• Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
• Supervise research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Engage in academic advising and mentoring of students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic innovation.
• Conduct and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, and academic events.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in IT advancements and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• MPhil (Information Technology / Computer Science or related field) – required
• Teaching/research experience at university or college level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of programming, databases, networking, and emerging IT trends.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to integrate technology in teaching and learning.
