Key Qualifications:
Fresh graduate, female, with a Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Healthcare Administration, Biomedical Ethics, Health Communication, Anthropology, Community Development, or a related discipline.
Job Overview:
As a Cornea Counselor, you will play a crucial role in educating the public about the importance of cornea donation and motivating individuals and groups to consider cornea donation. This dynamic role requires dedication to field work within hospitals, with a strong focus on counseling in emergency and critical care wards. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for public health advocacy and community engagement, willing to work closely with patients and families during critical times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counseling: Provide compassionate and in-depth counseling to potential donors and their families, particularly in emergency and critical care wards of hospitals. Address concerns, answer questions, and offer emotional support during critical times, ensuring families understand the importance and impact of their decisions.
- Education and Awareness: Conduct educational sessions within hospitals and at eye screening camps to inform about the significance and impact of cornea donation, targeting both healthcare staff and the general public.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and related organizations to coordinate and support cornea donation campaigns and events.
- Community Engagement: Engage with various community groups to promote awareness about cornea donation and encourage participation.
- Media Promotion: Be comfortable with public speaking and media appearances to effectively promote the cause of cornea donation.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document interactions, maintain detailed records, and prepare comprehensive reports on outreach and counseling activities. Report to the office once a week for meetings and updates.
