Guest Teacher

Summary: 
The Guest Teacher is responsible for providing instruction to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This is a substitute position located at Grass Lake Elementary School PK-8.

Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher
- Provide a safe and positive learning environment for students
- Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies
- Communicate with school administration and staff as needed
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- Attend professional development and training sessions as required

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
- Valid Professional Educators License (PEL) or substitute teaching license issued through the Lake County Regional Office of Education (ROE)
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Availability to work on short notice and flexible hours
