Network Operations Center Engineer

Role Definition:

The NOC Engineer monitors and executes the daily operational activities needed to manage IT services and the supporting IT infrastructure. A NOC Engineer monitors large computer networks and servers for problems from a central location or remotely.

Overview of the role

● Analyze events

● Perform troubleshooting and incident response on the systems

● Communicate with technicians or third parties responsible for resolution

● Track issues through to resolution

● Build Knowledge Base on special/distinguished cases/events and document

Responsibilities

● Follow the company communications policy and protocols.

● Carry out comprehensive study and understanding of management and monitoring software tools.

● Observe administrative and disciplinary rules and protocols set by the administration. ● Initiate Quality Control for the resolved sites/case/events.

● Identify backup issues and create Service Orders (SO) accordingly.

● Identify Issues from NOC tickets that need immediate attention and take the appropriate steps to make sure they are taken care of. Process remaining NOC tickets and determine which can be closed, and which require attention.

● Monitoring tasks to be tracked in TigerPaw (The CRM) to make sure they are not overlooked. ● Furnish monthly performance/productivity reports

● Any other task/project assigned by CTO and/or NOC Supervisor. Acknowledge receipt with tentative delivery/completion date. Use of TigerPaw tasks for tracking through the TigerPaw calendar and Dispatch Board as well as Outlook Calendar for reminders, is necessary.

● Analyze and resolve technical problems related to computer systems and networks. ● Making decisions towards solutions and resolution while working with the end-user. ● Troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of data backup related issues.

● Troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of SonicWALL and other firewalls/routers. ● Ability and experience to work with different software and hardware vendors. ● Good understanding of Monitoring agents and Managed Services.

Essential Job Functions

● Remote installation, configuration and problem diagnosis of mission critical comp ● Dental Practice Management Systems, Digital imaging and X-rays systems.

● Including integration of mission critical practice management systems Integrated with digital ●

radiology and imaging systems, compromising of Scheduling, electronic services, billing, clinical charting, electronic patient records, EMR, lab integration, e-prescription and document management modules.

● Practice management systems including Care stream Practice Works, SoftDent, WinOMS CS, OMSVision, PerioVision, EndoVision, Dolphin Management, Dentrix, EasyDental, and EagleSoft integrated with digital imaging and x-rays systems including Dexis, Schick, Carestream Dental Imaging, Carestream OMS Imaging Ortho2, and Dentrix Image.

● Remote support and maintenance mission critical imaging equipment including ● Panoramic, cephalometric 2-D and 3-D Imaging equipment and computer software ● Analyze and resolve technical problems for established mission critical computer networks ● Troubleshooting, diagnosis, resolution and maintenance of mission critical applications remotely interacting with end-users ● Making decisions towards solutions and resolution while working with end-users and mission critical applications of the clients

● Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on areas of expertise. ● Supporting Systems Integration, including Practice Management, Imaging software and other client-server based applications

Training Outlines

● Troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of backups and Disaster Recovery Solutions and recommending backup disaster recovery solutions

● Remote configuration and management enterprise applications such as Active Directory, Exchange, SQL and healthcare practice management and imaging solutions

● Windows 2012/2016 and higher domain controller troubleshooting, Active Directory replication, diagnosis & resolution

● Remote support for Windows desktops, and 2012/2016 and higher networks and Servers ● Troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of SonicWALL and Cisco firewalls/routers

Total Professional Experience:

● Total professionally working experience should not be less than 2 Years evidenced by the experience certificates issued from the entities the work is performed. The experience

certificates should carry the contact details of the company, especially the direct contacts of the reporting manager.

Specific Experience:

● Significant IT Support experience of minimum 6-8 years as NOC Specialist / IT Systems Administration/ IT Infrastructure Management, etc., in a role that requires Desktop, Networks and Software Systems Management, Analysis and Troubleshooting in an enterprise environment. Awareness of industry and professional standards is must.

Qualifications

● Academic Qualification:

At least BS in IT / Telecommunication from a re-known Institute/University.

● Processional Certifications:

Relevant professional Certifications in the field are preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs180, Rs200,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Islamabad: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
