Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor plant process parameters
    (production, heat rate, efficiency, energy index and KPIs etc.)
    and promptly engage with plant operations to manage short and long-term performance issues.
  • Providing technical expertise and support for both new and existing projects to ensure successful implementation and optimization.
  • Lead plant operations troubleshooting activities and provide technical recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Issue process performance reports of units as per monitoring matrix and provide technical recommendations to enhance productivity, efficiency, and reliability of plant.
  • Support operations team during start up and taking ammonia plant catalysts on stream and during replacement.
  • Provide budget inputs and forecast process chemicals, catalysts procurement for sustained plant operations. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to achieve collective corporate objectives.
  • Carry out technical evaluation and feasibility studies of new projects and modifications covering basic and detailed engineering, preparing Engineering Package, technical specifications sheets, technical bid evaluations sheet, P&IDs.
  • Review engineering documents and prepare MOC package for site modifications.
  • Coordinate within engineering department for stewardship and execution of CAPEX projects.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Should have practical experience of simulation, sizing and hydraulic modelling on engineering software i.e ASPEN, EDR, Instru Calc, Fluid flow, valve spec etc.
  • Have knowledge of PHA techniques i.e HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, QRA.
  • Practical knowledge of API, ASME, NFPA, AICHE, TEMA and renowned engineering codes & standards.
  • Should have practical experience of Ammonia plant debottleneck and Energy conservation projects
  • Individual must be well versed with renowned Ammonia manufacturing processes. Hands on experience of catalyst evaluations, technical monitoring programs and performance evaluation of critical equipment.

Education Requirement:

Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
with
9 to 12
years of experience of process engineering in Fertilizer industry
