Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and collaborative Homeroom Teacher to join our Primary Years Programme (PYP) team. The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for the academic, social, and emotional development of students in their care, delivering a dynamic, concept-driven curriculum aligned with the IB PYP framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons across core subjects (Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science) aligned with the IB PYP curriculum.

  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student well-being and agency.

  • Use formative and summative assessments to inform teaching practices and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.

  • Maintain accurate student records, including academic progress, attendance, and behavior.

  • Collaborate with specialist teachers to support transdisciplinary units of inquiry.

  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and other community-building activities.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.

  • Guide students through Units of Inquiry, fostering curiosity, research skills, and reflection.

  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes international mindedness and student agency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB PYP school or an international setting

  • Candidates with O/A levels background with an excellent academic record will be preferred

  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the IB PYP philosophy
