We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems within our retail grocery store. The ideal candidate will ensure all electrical systems function efficiently and safely, minimizing disruptions to store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, refrigeration wiring, and power distribution.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components such as circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and prevent system failures.
  • Respond promptly to electrical issues, minimizing downtime in store operations.
  • Work with refrigeration technicians to maintain electrical connections for refrigerated cases and walk-in coolers.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors for larger electrical projects or installations.
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: Licensed Electrician (State/Local Certification)
  • Experience: 2+ years of electrical work experience, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient lighting, emergency power systems, and electrical panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight spaces or at heights when necessary.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Work may include standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights.
  • Exposure to electrical hazards requires adherence to strict safety protocols.
  • May require evening or weekend shifts for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance.
