Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer based in Lahore. The role involves performing software quality assurance tasks, including manual testing and developing testing strategies to ensure high-quality software products. The engineer will collaborate with development teams, identify bugs, report issues, and ensure that the software meets company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases (manual & automated).
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, UI, API, and performance testing.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure quality at every stage.
  • Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans based on user stories.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.Verify bug fixes and manage QA cycles for each sprint.
  • Ensure high-quality releases across Dev, QA, SIT, and production environments.
  • Collaborate in CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution.
  • Maintain QA documentation, reports, and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3+ years of experience as an SQA Engineer (Manual or Automation).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, JMeter, Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Experience testing REST APIs & microservice-based applications.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
