Role Overview:

Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, full-stack developer with a meticulous eye for detail and a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies. You'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising our website, ensuring a smooth, responsive, and user-friendly experience. We're looking for a perfectionist who is not only technically proficient but also committed to delivering clean, precise, and polished results every time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Minimum 5 Years Experience: This is a senior dev role and the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience at a senior level. No interns, no juniors.
• End-to-End Development: Develop, design, and deploy web applications from scratch, using clean and efficient code.
• Plugin-Free Development: Build and maintain WordPress websites without over-reliance on plugins, focusing on custom-coded solutions to enhance performance and minimise load times.
• UI/UX Implementation: Create intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing interfaces without the support of a dedicated UX/UI designer.
• Custom Coding: Use advanced coding skills to create custom functionalities, features, and integrations as required.
• Optimisation & Troubleshooting: Ensure all websites are optimised for speed, security, and performance. Identify and resolve issues promptly.
• API Integration: Work with third-party APIs and services to integrate features and functionalities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our graphic designer and server administrator to bring projects to life and ensure seamless technical deployment.
• Utilisation of AI Tools: Leverage AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and speed up development cycles.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive Experience with WordPress: Proven ability to build complex, high-performing WordPress websites without heavy use of plugins.
• Proficient in Front-End & Back-End Development: Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other relevant programming languages.
• Database Management: Experience with MySQL or similar databases.
• API Expertise: Skilled in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Advanced Knowledge of Modern Web Frameworks: Familiarity with React, , , or other modern frameworks.
• Performance Optimisation: Track record of building lightweight, fast-loading websites.
• AI Tools: Understanding and experience using AI tools like ChatGPT or other programming-oriented GPT models to optimise coding processes.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git or similar version control systems.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated experience in identifying bottlenecks and coming up with robust solutions.
• Perfectionist Approach: Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering clean, precise, and error-free work.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience with E-commerce and payment gateway integrations.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Experience in DevOps or server management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
