Responsibilities

  • Edit complete videos from raw footage to final master across formats (landscape, square, vertical) and lengths (5–120+ seconds to 30+ minutes).
  • Create short-form, platform-optimized assets (Reels,Shorts) that hook in the first 1–3 seconds.
  • Add motion graphics, lower thirds, animated titles, and simple visual effects (After Effects or Fusion).
  • Color grade for consistency and mood (DaVinci Resolve / Lumetri).
  • Clean and mix audio — noise reduction, leveling, music bed integration, basic sound design.
  • Manage project files, proxies, and deliverables with strict version control and naming conventions.
  • Export to exact platform specs and upload or hand off with metadata (captions, timestamps, thumbnails).
  • Collaborate with producers, content strategists, and copywriters to deliver on brief and KPIs.
  • Keep up with editing trends, format innovations, and platform algorithm change

Experience

  • 2+ years professional editing experience (agency, studio, in-house, or freelance with recurring clients).
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following editing suites: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong motion graphics and compositing skills using Adobe After Effects (or equivalent).
  • Confident with audio tools: Adobe Audition, Fairlight, or comparable workflow for noise reduction and mixing.
  • Solid color grading knowledge (DaVinci Resolve or Lumetri).
  • Able to manage proxy workflows and large media files; comfortable with NAS/Drive collaboration.
  • Knowledge of social platform specs, codecs, aspect ratios, and bitrate best practices.
  • Experience exporting ad creatives with variations (lengths, CTAs, aspect ratios).
  • Basic motion design/illustration or the ability to source/modify assets.
  • Strong communication, time management, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
