Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Coder located in Islamabad. The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures using established classification systems. Daily tasks include assigning appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with billing and healthcare teams to optimize reimbursement processes. The role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, coding standards, and healthcare regulations to ensure accurate and efficient processing.

Qualifications

  • Medical Coding and CPT & ICD-10 coding experience
  • Proficiency in Medical Terminology and understanding of Health Information Management principles
  • Certified qualifications such as RHIT or equivalent are preferred
  • Strong understanding of compliance standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accuracy in coding and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Islamabad
  • Prior experience in medical billing or specialty-specific coding is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field is beneficial
