IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Be responsible for overseeing the operations, lifecycle management, and continuous optimization of data center and enterprise network infrastructure across PTCL Group business entities in Central Region. The role will lead critical network domains,
including Routing & Switching, SDN (preferably Cisco ACI-based), SD-WAN, data center interconnects, and enterprise/campus wireless networks,
ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance service delivery.

This position will play a pivotal role in cross-organizational infrastructure integration projects, technical refresh planning, and driving automation and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate must bring deep expertise in modern network architectures, multi-vendor ecosystems, and hands-on operational leadership.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

1. DC and Enterprise Network Operations & Lifecycle Management

• Lead day-to-day operations of data center and enterprise network infrastructure (core, aggregation, access layers, and wireless segments).
• Monitor and manage end-to-end availability, reliability, and performance of network services.
• Ensure effective incident, change, and problem management in line with PTCL Group's IT service management processes.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), network audits, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with network SLAs, KPIs, and audit/regulatory requirements.

2. Software Defined Networking (SDN "Preferably Cisco ACI")

• Own the planning, implementation, and operationalization of Cisco ACI-based SDN solutions across data centers.
• Enforce fabric policies, security constructs (EPGs, contracts), micro-segmentation, and automation.
• Monitor and optimize SDN fabric health, spine-leaf architecture, and tenant separation in multi-tenant environments.

3. SD-WAN & WAN Edge Operations

• Manage and operate SD-WAN services across enterprise branches, data centers, and interconnect domains.
• Design and support hybrid WAN models including MPLS, DIA, and LTE failover.
• Collaborate with security and cloud teams to enforce SD-WAN-based access policies and optimization strategies.

4. Enterprise/Campus Wireless Network

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of enterprise wireless networks across office sites and critical buildings.
• Oversee wireless controllers, AP positioning (based on RF surveys), and client access performance.
• Ensure secure access policies, 802.1X integration, and continuous RF performance tuning.

5. Service Availability, Resiliency & Fault Management

• Implement and maintain high-availability designs and redundant architectures across data center fabrics and enterprise sites.
• Ensure fault tolerance, disaster recovery readiness, and minimal downtime in critical IT environments.
• Manage WAN/MPLS/IP transit and intra-data center connectivity.

6. Integration Projects & Interconnect Design

• Act as a technical lead in the integration of networks between multiple business entities (PTCL, Ufone, etc.).
• Develop secure DCI solutions (VXLAN, EVPN, L2/L3 DCI), IP/MPLS routing redistribution, and network virtualization overlays.
• Facilitate seamless BSS/OSS application access and cross-entity service enablement through reliable interconnects.

7. Network Security & Segmentation

• Enforce zero-trust and defense-in-depth principles across data center and enterprise networks.
• Collaborate with SOC/NOC and cybersecurity teams to manage segmentation, ACLs, firewalls, and NAC.
• Implement threat containment strategies, anomaly detection, and micro/macro segmentation via SDN/NAC tools.

8. Network Upgrades, Capacity Planning & Modernization

• Oversee EOL/EOS equipment refresh cycles across DC/EDN infrastructure in collaboration with planning and procurement teams.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning based on traffic patterns, service expansion, and growth forecasts.
• Lead adoption of emerging network technologies (SDN, Fabric Path, VXLAN, NFV).

9. Vendor & Lifecycle Management

• Manage OEM and MSP engagements for hardware/software support, upgrades, and contract renewals.
• Evaluate emerging network technologies (AI, RPA, NFVI, intent-based networking) for future roadmap integration.
• Contribute to RFP evaluations, BOM planning, and post-sales lifecycle governance.

10. Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead a team of engineers and support staff in executing BAU operations and transformation projects.
• Collaborate with IT, Cloud, Security, Facilities, and Application teams to align infrastructure goals with enterprise needs.
• Provide technical reporting and advisory to senior leadership on network health, risks, and optimization plans.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Telecom Engineering, or related discipline.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP DC/Enterprise, Cisco ACI Specialist, HCIP-DCN, JNCIP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Proven experience in Data Center, Campus, and WAN network operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA Center, SD-WAN (Cisco, Fortinet, or Viptela), and multi-vendor switching/routing.
• Proven track record of managing network operations and integration projects across multi-entity environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise wireless systems (Cisco, Aruba) and network telemetry tools (AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, etc.).
• Experience in managing multi-tenant or hybrid DC environments and inter-DC connectivity.
• Proven track record in lifecycle management, technology upgrades, and high-availability architecture.

Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of routing, switching, overlay technologies (VXLAN, EVPN), and L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP).
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, firewalling, ACLs, and NAC.
• Deep understanding of network security, segmentation, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience in wireless network planning and controller-based architectures.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetBrain, etc.) and automation frameworks (Ansible, Python).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and thrive under pressure.
