Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Unity Game Developer with a strong background in multiplayer systems and backend integration. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing the core client-side logic, integrating with our chosen backend services, and ensuring a seamless, real-time gameplay experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about building scalable games and has hands-on experience with industry-standard BaaS and real-time networking platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Core Gameplay: Implement the complete client-side game logic for a new multiplayer card game in Unity (C#), including core mechanics, rules, and scoring systems.
• Build Game Modes: Create a full suite of diverse game modes, including classic, tournament, and other special rule-based variations.
• Integrate Backend Services: Serve as the primary developer for integrating our game with a Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, with a strong preference for Azure PlayFab. This includes implementing player authentication (social and guest logins), managing player profiles and data, and building out the in-game economy and shop.
• Implement Real-Time Multiplayer: Utilize a real-time networking solution, preferably Photon Fusion, to build a robust, low-latency multiplayer experience. You will be responsible for state synchronization, lobby management, in-game chat, and ensuring the game logic is authoritative and secure.
• Create UI and Game Flow: Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement all game screens, including menus, lobbies, the core gameplay interface, the shop, leaderboards, and post-match reward screens.
• Implement Progression Systems: Translate detailed progression designs into functional code, including XP and leveling formulas, performance-based multipliers, and daily missions.
• Cross-Platform Development: Ensure the game is optimized for and performs flawlessly on both iOS and Android devices.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work within a cross-functional team of artists, designers, and QA testers to deliver a polished, high-quality product. Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game development experience with a strong portfolio of shipped mobile titles.
• Expert proficiency in Unity and C#.
• Proven, hands-on experience with a major Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, with a strong preference for Azure PlayFab, covering:
• Player Identity (Authentication)
• Player Data & Server-Side Logic (e.g., Cloud Script)
• Leaderboards
• Economy (In-App Purchases, Virtual Currency)
• Demonstrable experience with a real-time multiplayer networking solution, with a strong preference for Photon Fusion. You should be comfortable with concepts like state synchronization, RPCs, and authoritative game logic.
• Deep understanding of the full mobile game development lifecycle, from prototyping to launch and live operations.
• Experience building and optimizing for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with LiveOps in mobile games (e.g., running events, A/B testing, remote configuration).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• A genuine passion for multiplayer games and a deep understanding of what makes them fun.
• Experience with other game backend platforms (e.g., Nakama, AWS GameLift) is a plus.
