Key Responsibilities- Diagnose a wide range of ophthalmic diseases through detailed eye examinations.
- Perform surgical procedures such as cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries.
- Prescribe and manage treatment plans, including medical and surgical interventions.
- Lead and supervise the outpatient (OPD) and inpatient eye care services.
- Mentor and train junior ophthalmologists, residents, and medical students.
- Conduct and oversee ophthalmic research and quality-improvement projects.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals in multidisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Expert knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology for diagnosis.
- Excellent surgical skills in microsurgery, cataract, retina, and glaucoma operations.
- Strong communication skills to explain conditions and treatments to patients.
- Leadership and mentoring ability to guide junior doctors and medical trainees.
