Plant Layout & Expansion Design Engineer (Water Bottling Facility)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Plant Layout & Expansion Design Engineer to redesign and optimize the existing layout of our bottled water production facility. The role involves planning for future capacity expansion, workflow efficiency, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a detailed site assessment of the current bottling plant layout, including process flow, equipment placement, and utility lines.
• Propose optimized layouts for future expansion—covering production, storage, loading, and administrative zones.
• Ensure efficient workflow for raw water intake, RO treatment, bottling, capping, labeling, packaging, and dispatch areas.
• Plan for future scalability, allowing easy installation of additional filling lines, storage tanks, or automation systems.
• Integrate safety, GMP, and hygiene standards (as per PSQCA / ISO guidelines).
• Work with civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers to align the proposed layout with utility requirements (water, power, drainage, ventilation).
• Prepare 2D/3D layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Develop cost estimates and implementation timelines for the proposed layout changes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Plant Design/Architecture.
• Proven experience in industrial facility layout design (preferably water, beverage, or food industries).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of process flow optimization and space utilization.
• Familiarity with bottling line equipment and utility systems.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in RO plant or beverage bottling environments.
• Knowledge of GMP-compliant cleanroom design or production zoning.
• Experience in capacity expansion or relocation projects.
