Astute Softwares is seeking an experienced and results-driven Backend Developer with expertise in Java (Spring Boot) to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in backend systems, a passion for building scalable applications, and hands-on experience working with modern Java frameworks. Knowledge of Python will be considered a strong plus. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to contribute to innovative and impactful projects.

Experience:

Relevant experience in:

Java Backend Development (mandatory)

Spring Boot Framework (Must Have)

RESTful API Development & Integration (Must Have)

Database design and management (PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL)

Python (Preferred / Good to Have)

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize backend features.

Integrate with databases, third-party APIs, and external services to ensure seamless functionality and performance.

Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code reliability and maintainability.

Assist with deployment, testing, and release processes across different environments.

Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in Java backend development and cloud technologies.

Contribute to maintaining high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability.

Qualifications:

Educational Background (optional but preferred):

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field

Equivalent practical experience is acceptable in place of formal education

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Java with extensive experience in backend frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate).

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).

Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git, including branching, merging, and code review workflows.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.

Python development knowledge will be considered a preference and a plus point.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
