Job Summary

Bridge & Gate is currently seeking to recruit a graphic and web designer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be designing a wide variety of artworks across digital and offline media as well as managing the company's website, creating new landing pages, and incorporating e-commerce and CRMs. To be successful in this position, you'll have a creative mind, be a self-starter, capable of putting ideas into brilliant designs, and show amazing attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create brand guidelines for all partner organisations and ensure compliance in every new piece of work.
  • Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software and performing proofreads and corrections.
  • Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as Photoshop.
  • Providing internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website.
  • Designing engaging and responsive website landing pages.
  • Integrating client CMS programs and data feeds into websites.
  • Optimising sites for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Employing industry and design best practices through the website build process.
  • Conducting website testing.
  • Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, and tablet.
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable graphic design, web development, and related skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including HTML, WordPress, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
  • Experience with computer-aided design.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Web Design, Digital Media, Information Technology, Science, or Computer Science
  • Verifiable experience as a graphic designer and/or Web designer.
