Kitchen Helper

Job Purpose

To assist chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
• Assist in basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including utensils, dishes, and workstations.
• Wash pots, pans, and kitchen equipment after use.
• Dispose of garbage properly and maintain waste areas clean.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Support cooks and supervisors during busy service hours.

Requirements

• No formal education required (basic literacy preferred).
• Previous experience in a kitchen is a plus but not necessary.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good physical stamina to stand and work long hours.
• Team player with a positive and cooperative attitude.
