Purpose

Reponsibilities
  • Assist AM/DM in organization and administration of mechanical maintenance section in line with instructions and directives of the management, rules and regulations in practice to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Maintain punctuality, discipline and confidence among the team members and ensure observance of the management rules.

Hse
  • Comply with all safety norms and regulations set by the company and ensure implementation of standards for maximum safety of its team members.
  • Ensure proper risk analysis and carry out toolbox talk with team members before starting work and maintain general safety, proper & neat uniforms and appropriate PPE's during working at plant & workshop
  • Maintain hygiene among teammates and himself
  • Maintain housekeeping during and after work
  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous goods according to MSDS.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all indoor and outdoor work areas and motivate team for the same.

Maintenance
  • Perform and supervise scheduled maintenance activities (planned and unplanned) to meet performance targets, ensure maximum availability and reliability of equipment and systems in a safe manner.
  • Maintain tools & tackle in healthy condition.
  • Follow and ensure maintenance procedures so that the maintenance can be accomplished in a safe, timely & cost-effective manner
  • Maintain all equipment and accessories (pertaining to his jurisdiction) in neat, clean and serviceable condition. Carry out frequent surveys of his area, monitor physical and operational conditions of the equipment and immediately intimate AM/DM about any abnormality
  • Follow maintenance manuals, procedures, F&ID, mechanical drawings for accomplishment of safe and quality workmanship. Carry out RCA to avoid rework and give recommendations for improvements.
  • Carry out inspection, testing, overhauling of mechanical equipment, machinery, systems and perform troubleshooting.
  • Confidently use all mechanical testing equipment and tools and keep them tested and in ready to use condition.
  • Keep a close watch on consumables and spare parts related to his jobs and inform AM/DM in time for replenishment
  • Daily following sectional logbook, checking work status and planning jobs. Maintain daily log sheet and maintenance records in readily presentable format

Troubleshooting
  • Perform troubleshooting on recurring faults with teammates.
  • Implement RCA recommendations on field.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions.
