The Ministry of National Food Security & Research (MNFSR) invites applications from experienced professionals for the position of
International Agriculture Collaboration Advisor
under the SPPS-I program. The role aims to enhance Pakistan's global agricultural engagement, strengthen international cooperation, and ensure alignment of national agricultural policies with international commitments such as the SDGs, WTO frameworks, and the Paris Agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for international agricultural cooperation.
  • Negotiate and finalize bilateral and multilateral MOUs, agreements, and frameworks.
  • Represent Pakistan and MNFSR in international forums such as FAO, WTO, IFAD, and CGIAR.
  • Coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Economic Affairs Division (EAD), and other stakeholders to advance agricultural diplomacy.
  • Initiate and manage joint research programs, technical collaborations, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Support mobilization of international funding and investment for agricultural development.
  • Prepare policy briefs, analytical reports, and recommendations for global negotiations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Agricultural Policy, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in agriculture or rural development, with at least 8 years in international cooperation, agricultural diplomacy, or multilateral engagement.
  • Proven track record of representing government or institutions in international agricultural forums.
  • Strong understanding of international agricultural frameworks and negotiation processes.

Expected Impact:

The Advisor will help institutionalize global partnerships, attract foreign investment, enhance policy alignment with international frameworks, and strengthen Pakistan's representation in multilateral agricultural platforms.
