Our finance function is headquartered in Lahore, and this role will play a central leadership role in strengthening and developing it.

The Role

We are hiring a Financial Controller to lead the group's finance operations out of our Lahore office.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building discipline and excellence in financial operations, internal controls, and cash flow management — while also supporting fundraising and investment activities across the group.

The role works closely with the Head of Financial Reporting and Head of FP&A, and serves as the operational deputy to the Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Leadership

• Lead daily finance operations across multiple business units and jurisdictions
• Build, mentor, and performance-manage the finance team in Lahore
• Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and professionalism

Accounting, Reporting & Audit

• Oversee month-end and year-end close, consolidation, and IFRS-compliant reporting
• Manage internal and statutory audits and maintain strong control frameworks
• Ensure tax compliance and regulatory filings across relevant jurisdictions

Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Oversee daily/weekly/monthly cash flow management
• Improve working capital across payables, receivables, and inventory cycles
• Maintain and develop banking and trade finance relationships

Systems, Risk & Continuous Improvement

• Drive ERP and financial process standardisation across the group
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation controls
• Improve automation, visibility, and data accuracy

Strategic & Fundraising Support

• Support debt and equity fundraising activities
• Contribute to financial models, investor materials, and capital planning scenarios
• Participate in lender and investor discussions where required

Required Qualifications & Experience

• CA (ICAP) or ACA (ICAEW) (preferred)
• (ACCA considered only with proven senior controller leadership experience)
• Big 4 or strong audit firm background
• 10+ years total finance experience, including 3–5+ years in a senior finance leadership or controller role
• Strong command of IFRS, consolidation, controls, treasury, and audit governance
• Proficient with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel

Desired Skills (Strong Advantage)

• Experience in multi-entity or international group finance
• Exposure to fundraising, banking facilities, or investor reporting
• Ability to set direction, hold standards, and lead with clarity
• Strong communicator — comfortable working directly with senior leadership

Bonus (Not Required, but Valued)

• CFA Level I/II
   (capital raising & modelling advantage)
• CIMA
   (commercial decision-support advantage)
