Job Title: Azure Network Architect
Experience: 12+ Years
Mode of Hire : Fulltime

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Network Architect to join our team at Techwave. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud networking solutions on Microsoft Azure. The Azure Network Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect network infrastructures that are scalable, secure, and efficient in the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud networking solutions within the Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

  • Architect and implement networking solutions using Azure networking services such as Virtual Networks (VNets), Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, security teams, and DevOps, to create solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

  • Ensure cloud networking solutions are designed for resilience, redundancy, and high availability while maintaining cost efficiency.

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure network infrastructures, following best practices for security, compliance, and governance.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize network performance within the Azure cloud environment, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and issues.

  • Ensure effective disaster recovery and business continuity solutions in cloud networking architectures.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in Azure networking and cloud infrastructure.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and cross-functional teams.

  • Participate in cloud migration projects, advising on network-related best practices.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in network architecture, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure cloud environments.

  • In-depth experience with Azure networking components including VNets, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, NSGs, Application Gateway, and Firewall configurations.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and encryption protocols in the Azure environment.

  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates, Azure CLI).

  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud architectures, connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute), and on-premises/cloud integrations.

  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, BGP, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are highly desirable.
