We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Senior Magento Developer
to join our healthcare technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining Magento-based e-commerce platforms with a strong focus on
HIPAA-compliant, secure, and scalable solutions
tailored for the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    design, development, and deployment
    of Magento-based healthcare platforms.
  • Customize Magento modules and extensions to meet unique healthcare and compliance requirements.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security of healthcare e-commerce platforms.
  • Integrate Magento with healthcare applications such as
    EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, pharmacy management systems
    , and third-party APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA, and clinical consultants) to deliver
    patient-friendly, compliant digital experiences
    .
  • Implement
    best practices for data protection and HIPAA compliance
    within Magento systems.
  • Conduct regular code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of Magento applications.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on healthcare-focused projects.
  • Stay updated with Magento trends, healthcare IT standards, and compliance regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Magento development experience
    (Magento 2.x required).
  • Strong proficiency in
    PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and
    .
  • Experience with
    Magento Cloud, REST/SOAP APIs, GraphQL, and custom module development
    .
  • Knowledge of
    healthcare IT systems, HIPAA compliance, and secure data handling
    .
  • Strong background in
    database design and optimization
    .
  • Experience in performance tuning, caching (Redis, Varnish), and scalability improvements.
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
    .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Exposure to
    healthcare e-commerce workflows
    (medical equipment, telehealth services, pharmacy fulfillment).
  • Experience leading large-scale healthcare or regulated industry projects.
